In February we took part in The Lab Event at the Ferry building. It was super fun and we were thrilled to be partnered with Charmed Events, La Fleuriste, Patisserie Angelica and Scott Andrew Photography for our rustic and romantic vignette. We were equally thrilled to create an invitation suite and wedding collateral featuring lasercut wood and silkscreened invitations and menus. Plus, who doesn’t love a gold-glitter lined envelope!
Oh, and here we are in the Tomfoolery photobooth!
This summer we were approached by Flourish to use our CMYHey! Triangle Print for an event they were working on for Google at for the Cannes Lions advertising awards.
Though, sadly, we weren’t able to enjoy the event on the beach in France, we were pretty excited to see how it turned out — a pretty rad transformation for our little gocco print. You can see a bit more about the event on Flourish’s site or watch the video below to hear a bit about the Google Creative Sandbox and see the space in use.
Another recent-ish logo project for Lost Lit. Lost Lit hosts a series of writing workshops in a cozy, supportive environment in the back of Grumpy Bert in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn. We’re really excited about the blending of hand lettering and typography.
If you are in the market for some sassy new baby-care accessories, check out the new diaper-wipe cases from Fresh Baby Brooklyn. We had a ton of fun with Emily working on her identity and branding.
Earlier this year, we had the pleasure of working with Jessie and Mack on their wedding invitations for their beach wedding in Carpinteria. Jessie and Mack had one of the most unique and insanely awesome proposal stories involving an early morning chartered plane ride to view the sunrise. We were excited to have the opportunity to translate that experience into a bold graphic statement on their invitations.
The invitations were beautifully printed by Dependable Letterpress in San Francisco
We were so thrilled when Jen Meyer came to us for her identity for Two Twenty Two Skin Care Studio and we are all totally excited by the result.
Jen is a fabulous aesthetician and a pleasure to work with; if you are in San Francisco, I highly recommend paying her a visit.
Valentine’s Day is almost here, but there is still time to get a beautiful hand-printed cards for that someone special. Head over to our etsy shop so you can tell someone they are your favorite, that you heart their guts or simply ask them to be yours.
We’re giving away one Teeny-Tiny but still pretty colorful calendar and a set of six Hand-printed Calligraphic Thanks cards to one lucky Twitter follower. The winner will be chosen at random on January 11th.
Follow us on Twitter and please help spread the word!
Today, Friday, December 9th from noon until 9 pm, is the grand opening of popuphood, an awesome new retail venture in downtown Oakland. Popuphood consists of six new shops which were given vacant retail spaces in Old Oakland for six months rent free. Assuming the shops succeed, they’ll be offered the opportunity to extend their lease. We’re really excited to be a small part of this great project; our cards are available at Crown Nine.
On December 1st, we’ll be selling our cards and more at West Elm in Emeryville! There’s only a few vendors, and they’re all pretty fanasttic: we’re very excited to have been selected! Handmade Holiday Workshops and Mini-Markets will be taking place at all West Elm locations on Thursday evening, so if Emeryville isn’t your local store click here to see who’ll be selling near you.
