Branding & Identity Design
Park Day School

Park Day School needed a new logo and visual identity. Founded in 1976, the original logo had a handcrafted feel that felt a bit dated and was created before the school included a middle school. We wanted to create a logo that retained a bit of Park Day’s heritage while updating it to be inclusive of the older students and reflect where the school sees itself now. Along with the new logo, the school needed an updated color palette, new typography, and a system of supporting logos, including the new sports mascot and pride logos.
Logo Animations
The love of learning is central to Park Day School’s ethos. With this logo animation, we wanted to highlight a heart evolving into the Park Day School apple.
This animation shows the evolution of the old Park Day School logo into the new logo.
The Night Herons

The students voted to change the school’s mascot from The Mighty Apples to The Night Herons, a bird with which the school has a close connection. Because of that change, a logo was needed for the school’s new mascot.
By maintaining a consistent color palette and secondary typeface, The Night Herons logo stands on its own but still feels a part of the larger Park Day visual identity.
Pride

Showing appreciation is important within the community at Park Day, so we designed a new series of greeting cards that highlight the new visual identity.
